They are usually computer based interactive works that take him no more than 15 min a session (truthfully only 10 min if he stays focused). We started slow, and I would time him. As he got more proficient, I'd add another 'subject'. Truthfully, it was to keep him from getting into trouble by messing with his sister who was doing her work. I was shocked by how much he actually covers in a day on his own. Took me awhile to find 'what worked' for him. Study.com is great and I can track it when I am not home. The videos are only 5 to 7 minutes, it has written narration of the video and a quick 5 question quiz. CTCMath is similar, so is Membean. *For Computer Programming classes, my kids really enjoyed: (1) YouthDigital Game Design 1 and 2, then Mod Design, Server Design (on sale at Homeschoolbuyersco-op. (2)TechRocket (3) Code Academy (4) Once they have done all of those, then the online Landry Academy courses in Python, C Programming was WONDERFUL!! My daughter really did well in her college programming classes because of this road.LMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17214360611619599465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2146152536391205506.post-65301302848273022422016-08-26T15:17:17.118-07:002016-08-26T15:17:17.118-07:00HEY! I love reading about your plans and life. Tell me, they do this all independently while you are at work? I plan to show my 13 year old this list. She thinks she is asked to do too much. Also, one more question, what do you suggest for beginning computer/programming classes? Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
